Full Description
Explore the city of Yogyakarta, home of Java’s most prominent education opportunities and visit some of the city’s most notable landmarks. Your journey will begin at a historic site dating back to the 17th century, the Sulatan’s Palace, home of the current sultan. You can explore and immerse yourself into its rich history for an hour before heading towards the Taman Sari Water Castle.
You can embark on a leisurely stroll to the neighboring Water castle and its lush and beautiful gardens. The castle was erected in the mid-18th century as a secluded retreat as well as a meditation and workshop space for the royal family. You will now leave the urban dwellings behind and journey towards the magnificent Borobudur or Prambanan temple. You may have a lunch break before visiting the temple (lunch not included) and you may choose between Borobudur, the world's largest Buddhist temple or the mesmerizing Prambanan temple. At the end of the tour you will be taken back to your Yogyakarta accommodation.
